Abstract

This study was conducted in Wheat Research Institute, AARI, Faisalabad during 2004- 05. Six wheat varieties/advanced lines viz. Inqatab-91, AS-02, V-OKQSS_ V-DOIZ:: Manthar and Bhakkar 2002 were examined on six sowing dates viz 25" October, 10 November, 25th November, 10% December, 25" December 2004 and 10" January 2005 against wheat aphid. The data revealed no significant difference among varieties on all sowing dates. However earlier sown crop showed less aphid population per tiller Minimum aphids per tiller (0.083) were recorded on Bhakkar-2002 followed by AS-02 (0.458 aphid/tiller) sown on 25th October.
